The Indian Muslim Scientists Network (IMSCN) is an open-source community movement founded in 2026 to celebrate, connect and amplify Indian Muslim scientists, researchers, engineers, doctors and innovators — in every discipline, guided by the Islamic values of Ilm, Iqra, Amanah and Ihsan.
What is IMSCN?
An open-source movement for science in service of humanity
The Indian Muslim Scientists Network (IMSCN) is an open-source community movement founded in 2026 to celebrate, connect and amplify Indian Muslim scientists, researchers, engineers, doctors and innovators — in every discipline, guided by the Islamic values of Ilm, Iqra, Amanah and Ihsan.
IMSCN exists because Indian Muslim scientists are making world-class contributions in AI, medicine, space science, biotechnology and beyond — yet too often they work in isolation, with their stories untold and their collaborations unformed. The network is building the infrastructure to change that: a scientist directory, a mentorship platform, a research collaboration hub, and an annual symposium — all open source under the MIT license.
The network is community-driven and free forever. It was created by AbduzRahymz and is built in the open on GitHub, so scientists, students, educators, historians and supporters can contribute code, content, mentorship and ideas.
Guided by the Islamic principles of Ilm (knowledge), Iqra (reading), Amanah (trust), Ihsan (excellence), Khidmah (service), Shura (consultation) and Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), IMSCN serves beneficial knowledge to all of humanity.
Our Mission
To create a thriving, interconnected community of Indian Muslim scientists that accelerates discovery, promotes ethical research, and serves humanity through knowledge.
IMSCN's mission is threefold: to celebrate the achievements of Indian Muslim scientists past and present, to connect researchers across disciplines and institutions for meaningful collaboration, and to amplify their contributions so the next generation can see what is possible.
We are building open-source tools, directories, mentorship programs, and collaborative research platforms — not for profit or prestige, but as an act of service (Khidmah) and ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah).

We envision a future where an Indian Muslim student in a small town can instantly connect with a senior researcher at a top institution, where interdisciplinary teams form organically around shared problems, and where the global scientific community recognizes the Indian Muslim contribution as essential and vibrant.

Our work is guided by seven core Islamic values. These principles shape how we build, collaborate, and serve.
Ilm
The pursuit of sacred knowledge. Islam elevates the seeker of knowledge above the worshipper — IMSCN embodies this by celebrating scientific inquiry as an act of faith.
Iqra
"Read!" — the first revealed word of the Quran. Reading, research, and discovery are the foundations upon which this network is built.
Amanah
Trust and integrity. Science conducted with honesty, transparency, and accountability — a trust between the scientist, society, and the Creator.
Ihsan
Excellence in all endeavors. To worship God as if you see Him, and to pursue science with the same uncompromising standard of beauty and precision.
Khidmah
Service to humanity. Scientific advancement is not for prestige — it is a means to alleviate suffering, advance justice, and serve all of creation.
Shura
Mutual consultation and collaboration. IMSCN is built on collective wisdom — scientists, mentors, students, and community members shaping the future together.
Sadaqah Jariyah
Ongoing charity. Knowledge shared freely, tools built in the open, research that outlives its author — this is the ultimate continuous reward.
